Phoebe Barnes
Phoebe is a journalist who has previously been Editor in Chief and Features Editor for The Tab, a student-run publication focused on travel, and a news writer for the Radio Times. She has a degree in English and Classics from the University of Nottingham and has travelled widely, particularly in the Far East. Phoebe’s role is to cover our activities and give them a journalistic flair.


Michael Flores
Originally from Gibraltar, Michael worked as a teacher for 42 years. He has held positions ranging from Head of MFL to Senior Leadership Team member where his main responsibilities were to enhance teachers’ professional development across all stages of their career. Since retiring Michael has travelled regularly to India, China and Sweden providing lectures and workshops on a range of topics for schools and universities.


Mark Lay
Mark originally worked in the chemical, shipping and road haulage industries. Since changing career and qualifying as a teacher 10 years ago, he has worked in both the state and independent Secondary sectors in the UK, in Further Education, and also spent two years teaching in an international school in China. He specialises in teaching Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
